oh tahiti! we finally meet. my husband has had tahiti on his bucket list as long as i’ve known him and SURPRISED me (well really himself!) for our 9 year anniversary to finally check it off and oh did it exceed every expectation and more.
over water bungalows overlooking glorious lush mountain peeks & waking up to sunrises on the ocean all while laying in bed was just something only dreams are made of, and taking me back to my honeymoon days. since we headed to tahiti, we decided to island hop and wanted to make sure we explore papeete, moorea and bora bora. our tahitian vacation started with exploring the local living in papeete, fruit stands and farmer’s markets all over the island while moving on to swimming with sharks and stingrays in moorea and finally relaxing at bora bora.
oh, take me back.
Absolutely breathtaking views of the Mount Rotui and the Opunohu Bay. A must stay at the over water villas, tons of snorkeling and fish. Reserve an evening dinner while seeing the sharks swim by. Amazing experience!
Swim with sharks, stingrays and millions of fishes in the most beautiful coral garden. Make sure to pack extra clothes and sunscreen and some snacks as you will be spending a full day, a cute tiki hut is provided for each family to change and chill!
MARCHE DE PAPEETE
Papeetes local farmers market is a MUST when exploring Papeete Island. The Market is filled with local fruit, fish, handicrafts, souvenirs and local vendors of flowers and textiles. A perfect place to really capture the local shopping life.
