4TH OF JULY GETAWAY

Last minute my husband decided let's go away for the weekend since he had A few days off work..he booked us a trip to seattle while we also have been wanting to check ofF Painted Hills ON our bucket list...it was a long 10 hour drive...he droVe 6 hours on A friday night to klamath falls where we stayed the night and woke up to another 4 more hours of driving...was the drive worth it? you guys tell me!

we have always wanted to see the painted hils, HOWEVER, never had a chance to drive up this way & so glad we did! wE ALSO DECIDED TO ADD SOME MORE FUN THINGS TO OUR WEEKEND. sINCE, IT WAS SO LAST MINUTE I DID THE RESEARCH OF THINGS TO DO WHILE HE DROVE....AND MY HUSBAND WASN'T TOO KEEN ON KNOWING IT INVOLVED AN 18 MILE UPHILL ROCKY HIKE while he had to carry our not so little one.. i FOUND THE EAGLE CREEK TRAIL WHICH INCLUDED THE TUNNEL FALLS, IT LOOKED AMAZING FROM THE PICTURES & VIDEOS AND I COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE EXCITED TO GET THERE! OUR ADVENTURE TO THE TUNNEL FALLS WAS VERY LONG, IT JUST NEVER ENDED...PEOPLE THAT WERE HIKING ON THE SAME DAY AS US, CAMPED AND HIKED HALF OF THE TRAIL AND WERE GOING TO HIKE THE REST THE NEXT DAY & OUR GOAL WAS TO GET IT ALL DONE THE SAME DAY AND HEAD TO OUR NEXT DESTINATION! Call us crazy! ALTHOUGH, IT WAS TIRING AS HELL, MY FEET & CALVES were done...I HAD TO GIVE IT TO MY POOR HUSBAND FOR CARRYING OUR 35LB THREENAGER WHILE NEVER STOPPING & NEVER COMPLAINING! IT WAS SOMETHING I'M NOT EXACTLY SURE WE WILL DO AGAIN, BUT HEY YOU NEVER KNOW...CHECK OUT OUR AMAZING 4 DAY WEEKEND AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU THINK IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!

PS. If YOU ARE WONDERING...NO...WE DIDN'T HAVE TO DRIVE THOSE 10 HOURS BACK..WE TOOK A FLIGHT BACK home FROM SEATTLE..SO MUCH EASIEr!!
